UOI:
This week, students inquired into different kinds of Train (local train, metro train, bullet train, trams and mono rail) and understood the similarities and differences between each type. The inquiry was further strengthened when they learned whether trains run on diesel, coal or with electricity.
To enhance thinking skills students created a bar graph with the data collected by them about how fuel can be saved for public & private transport and which fuel (petrol, diesel & CNG) is widely used.
Students also attempted dictation of the learned sounds (‘a’, ‘b’, ‘c’, ‘d’, ’e’, ‘f’, ‘g’, ‘h’, ‘I’, ‘j’, ‘k’, ‘l’, ‘m’, ‘n’, ‘o’, ‘p’, ‘r’, ‘s’, ‘t’, ‘u’, ‘v’, ‘x’, ‘z’) in their process journals.

Math:
Students were introduced to the 2D shape - ‘rectangle’ by tracing the metal inset for a rectangle in their process journal. Later they coloured it too. They also illustrated a rectangular shape from the environment, in their process journals.
Reinforcement of backward counting from numbers 15 to 1 was done through a hopping game where numbers were written on the floor and students hopped backwards from numbers 15-1.

Hindi:
Reinforcement of sounds (‘a’, ‘aa’, ‘e’, ‘ee’, ‘u’, ‘uu’) were done through a Bingo game.
Students were also introduced to a story ‘Pyassa uunth’.
Practice and rehearsals for the UOI presentation is in full swing and all our students are really excited and enthusiastic for their final performance
