In continuation with the ongoing theme, students were given a demonstration of washing hands in a proper manner wherein they inquired into how dirty hands and surroundings could cause contagious diseases like cold and cough.
Class discussion on how healthy eating habits help us to take care of our body was taken up e.g. washing hands before and after meals and eating the right kind of food and drinking adequate water. Students also inquired into the importance of food in taking care of their body.
In numeracy, students associated quantities with numbers using number cards and counters.
They wrote number 4 in their process journals.
Later on concept of tall and short was introduced whereby students compared the height of various objects .
With great enthusiasm students practiced for character parade where they learnt the presentation skills and ramp walking.
Letter ‘c’ was introduced through treasure hunt game. Students wrote letter ‘o’ and illustrated objects beginning with it in their process journal. Students narrated the ORT stories like Haircut, School and The big box using sequence cards.

The vocabulary was built with the introduction of swar ‘Aa’ where they learnt new words aam, aag, aakash, aasan, aaloo, aadmi, aari. The fine motor was further strengthened with the craft making of ‘Aa’
As a part of Early Year skill building programme students learnt:
- How to work with long rods
- How to work with Pink tower
Students enjoyed reciting a rhyme “There was a farmer Pingo”
Students learnt to draw sleeping and standing lines using dry colours.
Practised running in a straight path and did stretching exercise for gross motor development.
Enhanced their listening skills through a story “The Haircut” and were acknowledged for showing the learner profile Communicator in the library class.
