Exploring the central idea under the transdisciplinary theme ‘Where we are in place and time’ students were introduced to the traditional stories which reflected beliefs and values. The story ‘Honesty- the wood cutter and the axe’ was narrated to the students, later they also created the props and articulated it in their own words.
The concept of greater than, less than and equal to was introduced using the manipulatives. Students also played an online game based on the same concept.

Introduction of letter ’b ’was done and students illustrated the objects starting with letter ’b’ in their process journal.
Recapitulation of the sounds (a,t,i,o,p,s,f,l,c,b,m) was done through a sorting activity where in the students associated the objects with its corresponding sound.

Student’s enthusiastically presented the take and talk on the topic “Taking care of my body”
Students inquired into the technique of ‘Rangoli making’ and created rangoli using sand of different colors.
Students learnt to create illustrations on Diwali in Tux paint on the iPad.
To improve sharpness of steps students played the game “Simon says” and to improve musicality they did tapping and clapping on a song.
Students learnt to dribble and kick the ball.
A special assembly on Diwali was conducted where the students were made aware as to why and how the festival is celebrated in India and other countries.
On the occasion of Diwali the students made their own lanterns. They also reinforced how to cut a paper on a straight line using scissor.
