UOI:
Going further into the understanding of the central idea, students visited one of the school buses and found out about the different parts of the bus. Later they engaged in a compare and contrast activity between a bus and a car through a Venn diagram.
Students also inquired about how fuel can be saved for a public & private transport. They were also made aware of the concept of a ‘green planet’ by being sensitized in different ways like – increase usage of car pools, using public transport and CNG cars.
A survey was conducted by the students where they interviewed the educators and inquired if they used own or a school transport and also found out if that particular transport was fueled by petrol, diesel or CNG.

Students were introduced to the 2D shape – ‘circle’ where they traced the metal inset of a circle in their process journals and then coloured it. Later, they also illustrated the circular shape from the environment in their process journals.
Reinforcement of odd and even was done through (number plate on car) activity.
Students attempted a formative assessment of sequenced numbers 11-15 and associated quantities with it. Later, they marked the ‘odd’ number in red and the ‘even’ number in blue colour.
